Duanesburg, NY (April 9, 2023) – One person was injured in a traffic collision that occurred on Wednesday night, April 5, in Duanesburg. Reports show the crash occurred at around 10:18 p.m. 

Duanesburg, NY - One Injured in Collision with Fire Truck on I-88Multiple responders went to the scene on Interstate 88 a short time after the accident occurred.

A fire truck and a passenger vehicle crashed for reasons that are currently unclear. State Police in New York say the passenger car was stopped in the eastbound lane when it was struck by the fire truck. 

The driver of the vehicle was flown to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities report the driver of the fire truck was unhurt. No one involved has been identified at this time. 

Authorities in Duanesburg continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
