Duluth, GA (July 21, 2021) – At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, an auto collision caused injuries in Duluth. Officials stated that the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 near Boggs Road in Gwinnett County.
Several vehicles were involved in the crash, according to officials. One of them reportedly lost control, causing a major collision. All vehicles involved in the crash sustained serious damages as a result of the wreck.
Fire crews, paramedics, and numerous other responders were sent to assist at the scene. One or more victims required transportation to an area hospital for treatment. Those involved have not been identified at this time, however.
The roadway was closed in the vicinity of the crash scene while crews were present. Local motorists were forced to go around or find alternative travel routes for the time being.
