According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 3:15 p.m. when the southbound SUV reportedly failed to yield at a railroad crossing stop sign.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly to assist the victims. The SUV was struck on its passenger side by an eastbound train, causing significant damage. The driver sustained critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene for urgent medical attention. Two additional passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
