Elk River, MN (September 18, 2023) – On Monday, September 18, 2023, at 6:48 a.m., a Volvo straight truck halted in traffic on Southbound Highway 169, north of 5th St. Moments later, a Pontiac G6 rear-ended the stationary truck.
The Pontiac’s driver, Jeffrey Dean Steffensen, 21, from Zimmerman, MN, had his vehicle’s airbags deployed during the collision.
Steffensen sustained injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is still ongoing.
