The Dangers of Rollover Accidents in Texas
Rollover accidents are among the most severe types of crashes, often leading to life-threatening injuries or fatalities. Vehicles involved in rollovers can cause occupants to be ejected if they are not properly restrained, increasing the risk of catastrophic injuries.
I-35E, a major corridor for both local and long-distance traffic, sees heavy congestion and high-speed travel, contributing to the risk of rollover crashes. Factors such as sudden lane changes, high-speed curves, or tire blowouts can lead to a vehicle losing control and overturning.
Seatbelt use plays a critical role in preventing ejections during rollovers. Statistics show that unbelted occupants are far more likely to suffer severe or fatal injuries in these crashes. Drivers and passengers are urged to always wear seatbelts and remain alert, especially on high-speed roadways like I-35E.
