Enoch, UT (October 15, 2024) – A serious incident occurred on Sunday night when a 7-year-old bicyclist was struck by a vehicle. According to Enoch City Police Chief Jackson Ames, the accident took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. near 1850 E. Midvalley Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that the young boy rode his bicycle onto the road and was subsequently struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Emergency medical services responded quickly to the scene, and the injured boy was initially transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Cedar City Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted via Intermountain Life Flight to a hospital in Las Vegas for further treatment.
The incident prompted the complete closure of Midvalley Road between the intersections of Horseshoe Drive and Old Highway 91 for approximately 90 minutes while police processed the scene. Iron County Sheriff’s deputies assisted in the investigation.
