Essex, MD (February 20, 2023) – A juvenile was left with serious injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Essex that involved a stolen vehicle.
At approximately 10:15 p.m. on February 16th, authorities were called to the scene of an accident that took place on Baynor Road.
According to reports provided by authorities, the driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt was double parked in the 900 block of the roadway. As the driver was speaking with two pedestrians, a 2015 Ford Escape came up behind the cobalt and crashed into it.
The driver of the Ford fled the scene of the accident.
Both of the pedestrians, identified as an adult male and a juvenile, as well as the driver of the cobalt, suffered injuries in the accident.
The three victims were transported to area hospitals for medical care. Authorities confirmed that the juvenile was in serious condition.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
