Exmore, VA (May 17, 2023) – On May 13, the police and firefighters responded to the scene of a crash that occurred on Watertown Road.
Reports provided by the Virginia State Police show that at approximately 2:35 p.m., a 19-year-old man was standing on the side of the road while working on installing cable wires in a grassy area near the intersection of Watertown Road and Stewart Wharf Road.
Authorities believed that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area. Upon arriving on the scene, Cruz located the 19-year-old in a ditch with serious injuries. The victim was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for emergency treatment.
The state police are currently investigating the crash.
