Fairmount Heights, MD (May 18, 2023) – A pedestrian was left with critical injuries following a car crash that took place in the Fairmount Heights section of Capitol Heights.
The accident was reported at around 12:00 a.m. on May 17.
Reports provided by Prince Georges County Fire Department show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 5600 block of Sheriff Road.
The pedestrian, identified as a woman in her 20s, suffered severe head trauma as a result of the crash. The striking vehicle fled the scene of the accident without stopping.
The woman was severely injured and rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
