Fargo, ND (August 1, 2020) – This past Thursday morning, one man was injured in a house fire that took place in Fargo.
The fire was reported to have occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the morning of July 30th. An apartment building at the intersection of 3rd Avenue North and 6th Avenue North caught fire for reasons still being investigated by police. A man from Fargo, who remains unidentified at this time, reportedly sustained injuries as he escaped the fire.
First responders stated that upon arrival at the scene, they saw thick fire at the top of the building. As firefighters worked to put out the fire, a man jumped from a third-story window to escape the flames.
Paramedics were present at the scene and assisted the injured victim who had just jumped from the third story of the building. He was transported to a nearby medical center with injuries of an unknown magnitude. Incident reports state he was awake and alert at the scene of the fire, but his current medical condition remains unknown.
The reason the fire occurred remains under investigation by local authorities.
No one involved in the fire has currently been identified, as police continue their investigation into why the incident took place.
