North Dakota Pedestrian Crashes
Pedestrian accidents are not an uncommon occurrence in North Dakota or anywhere else in the United States, as people are constantly traveling on foot. According to information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, every nine minutes a pedestrian is injured and every two hours a pedestrian loses their life due to a traffic accident.
Unfortunately, most North Dakota pedestrian accidents are the result of negligent and careless behaviors like speeding, distraction, and intoxication. The rate of pedestrian accidents throughout the nation and in North Dakota would significantly decrease if drivers and pedestrians alike would make an effort to be more alert and careful while traveling. However, accidents are a part of human life and sometimes cannot be avoided, which is the risk travelers take every time they go out.
