Farmington, NY (February 15, 2023) – Authorities say that a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a motor vehicle in the town of Farmington. The auto-pedestrian collision was reported at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15th.
According to law enforcement, a motor vehicle entered the intersection of New York State Routes 332 and 96 when it struck a person who was crossing the roadway. Emergency dispatchers received a call concerning the collision, and multiple crews were immediately sent to the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital via ambulance. At this time, the extent of their injuries has not been reported to the public.
The intersection was closed down for a short time while crews worked at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident is ongoing.
