Fauquier County, VA (September 13, 2023) – Seven individuals, including a Virginia State trooper, sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision on I-95 Monday night, September 11, 2023.
The chaos began at 9:37 p.m. A state trooper tried stopping a motorcyclist on I-66 in Fauquier County.
Ignoring the officer, the biker sped into Prince William County, joining I-95 south.
Near the Dale City rest area, while officers tried encircling the motorcycle, it sideswiped a patrol car, lost control, and crashed.
To evade the motorcycle, state police vehicles braked abruptly, causing a chain-reaction crash with three other cars.
One trooper and six other individuals received hospital treatment for minor injuries.
The unharmed motorcyclist is in custody, with charges pending.
The investigation is still ongoing.
