Findlay, OH (October 20, 2024) – A tragic two-vehicle crash occurred Saturday afternoon, October 19, about 10 minutes north of Findlay, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. According to a press release from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place around 2 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 109 and County Road 18.
Preliminary reports indicate that 20-year-old Donovan Reinhart was driving westbound on County Road 109 in an SUV when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with County Road 18. This failure to yield resulted in a collision with another SUV. The impact caused Reinhart's vehicle, which contained two 19-year-old passengers, to overturn in a nearby field. The other SUV, driven by a 47-year-old individual, came to a stop in the intersection.
Tragically, Reinhart, a resident of Bloomville, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers in his vehicle were transported to a local hospital with injuries that have not been specified. The sheriff's office has not provided information regarding the condition of the driver of the other SUV involved in the crash.
