Ormond Beach, FL (May 21, 2020) – A fatal accident occurred in Ormond Beach Tuesday that took the life of a child.
According to a news report, two adults and two children were traveling in a large van headed north on North Beach Street just south of the Tomoka State Park, when for unknown reasons, the van veered off the west side of the road and struck a tree.
One of the children suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The second child was transported by helicopter to a nearby medical center to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
According to police who responded to the accident, the two adults were identified as Christopher and Amanda Brown, both of whom were transported to a nearby medical center to be treated for their sustained injuries.
The reason the crash occurred is still under investigation by authorities.
