Terra Ceia, FL (April 17, 2020) – A serious rollover accident occurred on the FL-55 Bridge in Terra Ceia, also known as the Skyway bridge, that left those involved with injuries.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the roadway around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. Two vehicles crashed into one another for reasons still under investigation, causing serious damage to the front end of one and causing the second vehicle to roll over.
Various first responders, including police, fire crews, and paramedics were present at the scene of the accident helping those who suffered injuries.
The conditions and identities of the injured persons have not yet been released.
The left lanes of the roadway were blocked for some time following the accident as police carried out a preliminary investigation and clean-up crews worked to clear the roadway.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident will continue.
