Fontana, CA (September 19, 2023) – Maria Perez, 86, died after a collision around 8:32 p.m. on September 11 at Baseline Avenue and Village Parkway.

She was involved in a Monday night accident in Fontana.

Authorities found Perez unresponsive in one of the involved vehicles.

She was rushed to a trauma center and later pronounced dead.

The intersection remained closed while Fontana P.D.’s MAIT team investigated.

Details surrounding the crash’s cause weren’t immediately provided.

The investigation is still ongoing.
