Fort Belvoir, VA (July 20, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that 27-year-old Mahdere Fassil lost their life in a car crash on Tuesday evening in Fairfax County.
At around 10:50 p.m. on July 18, calls for assistance came in surrounding an automobile accident on Telegraph Road.
Reports show that a head-on crash between a 2014 Cadillac XTS and a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder occurred on the roadway during the evening hours. The incident left the vehicles with significant damage.
Fassil was severely injured in the crash. He was taken to a local hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was injured and transported to an area hospital, where they were admitted in serious condition.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
