Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 13, 2025) – A serious crash on Marina Mile left one person hospitalized after an SUV collided with the back of a tractor-trailer.
According to reports, emergency responders from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and worked quickly to extract the driver of the SUV. The rescue operation took less than 30 minutes, after which the injured individual was transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment.
Aerial footage showed emergency crews managing the scene, while traffic in the area was heavily impacted. Authorities shut down westbound Marina Mile from West 15th Avenue to I-95. Additionally, the northbound I-95 ramp to Marina Mile westbound remained closed, forcing westbound traffic to be diverted.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
