Fort Lauderdale, FL – Wrong-Way Crash on I-95 in Oakland Park Sends Three to Hospital

Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 27, 2023)- Three Oakland Park wrong-way crash victims were taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 2:45 a.m. incident occurred on Interstate 95’s southbound lanes north of Commercial Boulevard.

A 16-year-old minivan was hit head-on by a 50-year-old white Audi SUV driving north in the southbound express lanes.

The minivan had another teen. Both vehicles had severe front-end damage.

Oakland Fire Rescue transported the injured to the hospital, where they were alert but in pain and expected to recover.

Blood tests indicate that Audi’s female driver was intoxicated and will be arrested.
