Fort Worth, TX ( July 7, 2023) – A police chase led to a multi-vehicle crash, resulting in one fatality, according to FWPD.
The incident happened on July 6th, 2023, at around 6 p.m.
FWPD officers tried to stop a stolen vehicle, but the suspect escaped.
Stop sticks were deployed to prevent the suspect’s escape by deflating a tire, but the suspect continued evading.
During the pursuit, an unrelated vehicle collided with a police Tahoe at Rosedale Street and Evans Avenue.
The Tahoe then collided with another unrelated car at the same intersection.
The suspect vehicle eventually stopped one block away.
Tragically, one person in an unrelated vehicle was killed at the scene.
Medical attention was given to the driver of the second vehicle.
The officer driving the police Tahoe was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to FWPD.

Tragically, the driver of the uninvolved first vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Immediate medical attention was provided to the driver of the second vehicle.
