Frederick County, MD – Injury Accident Involving Tractor Trailer on I-270 SB Past MD-85

Frederick County, MD (November 21, 2023) – A serious collision involving a tractor trailer occurred on southbound I-270 past MD-85 (Exit 31) in Frederick County. The incident, which resulted in at least one injury, was reported at 6:21 PM on Monday.

One left travel lane was blocked due to the accident, with only one right lane remaining open for traffic. This has caused significant delays, starting before the I-70 interchange. Additionally, northbound lanes on I-270 are experiencing rubbernecking delays.

Authorities are on the scene, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. Drivers are advised to exercise caution in the area.
