Fredericksburg, IN (September 18, 2023) – West Washington High School delayed classes Monday after a tragic weekend crash.
Marty Storms, 15, died in a rollover accident in Washington County on Sunday.
Driving a pickup on Beck’s Mill Road, Storms lost control, causing the truck to overturn.
First responders found Storms unconscious around 1:30 p.m. He later passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.
A 14-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Harrison County Hospital.
Sheriff Brent Miller expressed deep condolences to the Storms family and mentioned the road’s challenging nature.
Investigators noted excessive speed and the lack of a valid driver’s license.
The school urged prayers for everyone affected.
The investigation is still ongoing.
