Freehold Township, NJ (December 11, 2024) – A three-vehicle crash in Freehold Township has resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man and injuries to two others. The collision occurred on Jackson Mills Rd near Geisler Rd at approximately 10:27 p.m. on Monday, December 9.
According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the crash involved a 2017 Infiniti Q50 driven by the 20-year-old man, which was traveling northbound on Jackson Mills Rd. The Infiniti collided with a 2017 Ford Transit Van, which was being driven by a 40-year-old man. A 2017 Subaru Legacy, driven by a 21-year-old man, was traveling south behind the van and sideswiped it during the incident, eventually coming to a stop off the right-hand side of the road.
Emergency responders rushed the 20-year-old driver to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 6:22 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10. The two other drivers, the van driver and the Subaru driver, were both taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team is assisting in the ongoing investigation. As of now, no charges or summonses have been issued.
