Fremont County, ID (September 13, 2023) – A man died, and another was hospitalized after a crash on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The collision occurred on State Highway 33 at mile marker 103.
A 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 75-year-old from Driggs, traveled westbound.
Meanwhile, a 1990 Chevrolet pickup, operated by a 78-year-old from Teton, headed eastbound.
The Impala crossed the center line, hitting the pickup head-on.
The Impala’s driver, not wearing a seatbelt, died from his injuries. The pickup’s driver belted, and got transported to a nearby hospital.
The road stayed blocked for two hours for rescue and cleanup.
Multiple agencies, including the Idaho State Police, assisted.
The investigation is still ongoing.
