Fresno, CA – Bicycle Accident at Shaw Ave East On-Ramp; Injured Cyclist

Fresno, CA (July 14, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023, a Fresno bicycle accident occurred at the Shaw Avenue East on-ramp to southbound Highway 41.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report, the collision occurred around 8:26 a.m.

A white Jeep driver struck a bicyclist for unknown reasons, causing the rider to fall and become unresponsive.

The Fresno Fire Department paramedics arrived and found the injured cyclist with minor to moderate injuries.

They promptly transported the individual to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

The driver of the Jeep stopped and cooperated with authorities.

The CHP and Fresno Police Department are conducting an ongoing investigation into the case.
