Fresno, CA (July 15, 2023) – A car crash in Fresno County early Friday morning, July 14, 2023, claimed a woman’s life.
The incident occurred at 5 a.m. at McMullin Grade and Manning Avenue.
A 21-year-old driving a Dodge with his mother ran a stop sign and hit a semi-truck.
Both vehicles veered off the road and into a vineyard.
Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while her son was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the semi-truck cooperated with the investigation.
The incident also involved a hazmat situation due to a ruptured tank on the semi-truck.
The driver of the Dodge could potentially face misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges.
The investigation is still ongoing.
