Fresno, CA (September 13, 2023) – A pedestrian accident occurred on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at First Street and Bullard Avenue in Fresno.

The Fresno County Coroner identified the victim as 70-year-old Thomas Zapata Jr.

A teen, driving westbound, turned north and hit Zapata.

Zapata sustained severe injuries and later died at the hospital.

Authorities are currently searching for the teen driver.

The driver reportedly wasn’t under any influence during the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
