Fullerton, CA – Pedestrian Fatality in Vehicle Collision at S Brookhurst Rd & W Southgate Ave

Fullerton, CA (November 19, 2023) – A tragic incident occurred on Friday, November 17, when a vehicle fatally struck a male pedestrian. The Fullerton Police Department reported the accident around 7:13 p.m. at the intersection of S Brookhurst Rd and W Southgate Ave. The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing S Brookhurst Rd heading west when he entered the path of a southbound black truck.

The 78-year-old Whittier truck driver couldn’t stop in time, resulting in a collision. Fullerton Fire Department paramedics confirmed the pedestrian’s death at the scene. The truck driver remained and cooperated with authorities. Investigators have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed. The investigation into this unfortunate event is ongoing.
