Gainesville, GA ( July 24, 2023) – According to the Georgia State Patrol, a tragic collision occurred on July 23rd, 2023.
Quang Long Tran, 53, from Gainesville, was driving a Toyota Camry and attempted a left turn from Farmbrook Lane onto Poplar Springs Road.
Tran allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
Tran’s Camry drove into the path of a Ford F-250 truck driven by Lizandra Franco Canales, 25, also from Gainesville.
The collision severely damaged the driver’s side door of the Camry, resulting in injuries to all four occupants.
Emergency services rushed the Camry’s occupants to the hospital for medical treatment.
Tragically, Quang Long Tran did not survive his injuries.
Toan Thi Tran, 67, identified as the left backseat passenger in the Camry, suffered severe injuries.
The other two individuals in the Camry were injured and taken to the hospital.
Lizandra Franco Canales, the driver of the Ford F-250, was also transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Authorities are investigating the crash to determine the exact circumstances that led to this devastating incident.
