Gaithersburg, MD (January 9, 2023) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a vehicle collision that took place in the Gaithersburg area on Sunday evening that ended in injuries. On January 8, authorities were notified that a traffic accident had occurred on Muddy Branch Road.
At around 9 p.m., a traffic crash involving two vehicles blocked Muddy Branch Road in the area of King James Way. The incident caused delays throughout the area.
The Montgomery County Police Department and the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service responded to the scene of the accident and immediately went to work on clearing the road.
At least one person involved in the crash suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for care.
The incident remains under investigation.
