Gaithersburg, MD (February 19, 2023) – One person was left with injuries following a vehicle collision on Saturday in the Gaithersburg area. Just before 5:45 p.m. on February 18, emergency crews were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an accident on Muddy Branch Road.
Reports from local authorities show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the Lotte Plaza, located in the 200 block of Muddy Branch Road. The police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed off the roadway near West Side Drive.
EMS rendered aid to the victim on-site. The pedestrian was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further care.
The crash remains under investigation.
