Gaithersburg, MD (February 13, 2023) – Officers with the Montgomery County Police Department responded to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Sunday, February 12, that left at least one person injured.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Department responded to a crash on Interstate 270.
According to officials, two vehicles collided on the southbound side of the interstate. The incident blocked multiple lanes just before Interstate 370.
Authorities secured the area to provide assistance. One adult victim suffered injuries in the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital. A dog was also in the vehicle and suffered from injuries. The dog was transported to an emergency veterinary clinic.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
