Gaithersburg, MD – One Pinned Under Waste Management Truck on Beechcraft Ave near Mooney Dr

Gaithersburg, MD (July 7, 2023) – One person suffered traumatic injuries following a major motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Gaithersburg area.

At around 6:15 p.m., a waste management vehicle crashed in the 8100 block of Beechcraft Avenue. The incident occurred in the area near Mooney Drive, prompting officials to shut down the roadway.

One person became trapped under the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. The victim, identified as an adult, was transported to a local hospital with priority one traumatic injuries.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
