Gaithersburg, MD (February 24, 2023) – At 8:10 p.m. on February 23, the Montgomery County Police Department and local firefighters were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on Watkins Mill Road.
According to reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the bridge at Watkins Mill Road and Interstate 270.
The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the crash.
EMS with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service responded to the scene of the accident to provide care to the pedestrian. The victim was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are actively being investigated.
