Gaithersburg, MD (February 1, 2023) – A traffic incident was reported in the Gaithersburg area that resulted in injuries and delays. Calls for help came in regarding a traffic accident on January 31, just before 6:40 a.m.
According to reports provided by the Montgomery County Police Department, two vehicles collided in the 600 block of Watkins Mill Road. The incident blocked multiple lanes near Kaiser Permanente.
Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and secured the roadway in the area of Spectrum Boulevard.
Authorities went to work on removing the damaged vehicles and clearing the roadway.
Paramedics with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service were called to provide medical treatment to the victims who suffered injuries. At least one of the involved parties was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
