Garden Grove, CA – Collision at Clinton St and Westminster Ave.: Homeless Man Killed

Garden Grove, CA (July 19, 2023) – A 35-year-old homeless man died in a collision on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Garden Grove Police Department began investigating.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Clinton Street and Westminster Avenue, as reported by Sgt. Royce Wimmer.

When a vehicle struck him, the pedestrian was crossing from the north curb to the south curb outside the crosswalk.

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics promptly responded, but the man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The driver cooperated with authorities, and drugs or alcohol did not seem involved in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
