Geddes, NY (May 20, 2023) – Police in New York state a 71-year-old male lost his life in a car crash that happened on Thursday afternoon, May 18. The man, a resident of Syracuse, was identified as Timothy Woodward.
Woodward was headed west on I-690 when he left the interstate, went down an embankment, and struck a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 27-year-old Christopher Buske of Liverpool.
Buske was stopped at a red light at the intersection of State Fair Bouelvard and the Exit 7 ramp on the interstate. His vehicle rolled over and stopped in a ditch just off of the westbound shoulder of State Fair Boulevard.
Woodward was transported to Upstate University Hospital where authorities say he lost his life.
Buske was transported to Crouse Hospital with injuries.
Authorities in Geddes continue to investigate.
