Pedestrian Injuries in New York

Geneva, NY - Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Car at 5 & 20

New York car accident claims are complicated due to New York’s no-fault insurance system. All drivers are required to purchase personal injury protection coverage and then must rely solely on the coverage to pay medical bills and cover lost wages after a crash in which they sustain only minor injuries.

Getting your insurance company to pay out on a PIP claim can be difficult, particularly since there are strict deadlines. This is where a New York car accident lawyer can help.

Car crash victims who sustain serious injuries will have to prove they are qualified to file a claim outside of New York’s no-fault system, making your complicated lawsuit even more so. An attorney can guide you through each phase of your claim when you are seriously injured, from establishing your eligibility to ensuring that you recover the maximum amount of damages you are entitled to.
