Truck Accidents in New York

4/30 Georgetown, NY – Crystal L Savage Killed in Crash with Tractor-Trailer on Crumb Hill Rd

In 2017, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found that life-ending traffic collisions involving large trucks rose to peak levels. Data confirms that truck accidents in New York are often fatal, and many are unexpectedly caused by no fault of the victim but by issues such as poor vehicle upkeep and prolonged stopping distance. Following such an overwhelming incident, it is important for victims and bereaved loved ones to know that they may have the right to be compensated for their suffering.

After losing a loved one in a careless, reckless, or otherwise negligent New York truck accident by no fault of the victim, it may feel like no amount of compensation could make you feel complete again. While it is true that no financial restitution can ever fully make up for your losses, filing a wrongful death claim against the responsible party or parties can go a long way toward helping you find some semblance of peace again.
