Augusta, GA – Bailey Widener, Two Others Lose Lives in Car Accident

Augusta, GA (August 21, 2020) – Three teenagers have lost their lives after their involvement in a deadly car accident that occurred in Augusta this past Monday night. 

The crash took place on Walton Way at the intersection with Malvern Lane at approximately 9:00 p.m. on August 17. 

According to the Richmond County Coroner, the three teenagers were headed west on Walton Way when for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree on the side of the road. 

Bailey Widener, 18, was one of the three teens killed in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. 

Two other teenagers, who remain unidentified at this time, also were pronounced deceased at the accident scene. 

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by local law enforcement officials at this time. 

No further information has been made available to the public at this time. 

An investigation into the circumstances of the wreck will continue.
