Chauncey, GA (August 19, 2020) – There were four reported people who suffered injuries following an accident in Chauncey on Tuesday afternoon, August 18. Local sources revealed that the accident took place near the intersection of US-341 (Golden Isles Parkway) and GA-165.
According to initial sources, the collision involved a log truck and a train. Two engineers who were on board the train at the time of the accident were also injured and hospitalized.
The injured occupants of the log truck were later identified as Jeffrey Smith, 57, and Neil Smith, 24, both from Wrightsville, Georgia. The injured engineers were identified as Charles Harvey, 56, and Yarvis Williams, 46.
