Fulton County, GA (October 21, 2020) – An auto accident occurred on an interstate in Fulton County yesterday afternoon that required an emergency response.
Paramedics, police, and fire crews were called to assist at the scene of the accident that took place on Interstate 85 at approximately 12:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 20.
The reason the collision occurred remains under local law enforcement investigation at this time. It is believed that at least two vehicles were involved in a crash on the interstate near Sylvan Road and Central Avenue.
The total number of injured parties has yet to be determined, though paramedics were observed at the crash site. No one involved in the wreck has been identified to the public at this time.
The severity and nature of any injuries suffered also has yet to be determined by local police.
Closures were issued in the area where the accident took place while first responders were present on the accident scene. The left lane of the roadway was closed for some time afterward.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area at all costs and find alternate routes of travel until the wreckage was cleared from the roadway.
