Glynn County, GA – Billy Snyder Killed in Crash on I-95

Glynn County, GA (December 28, 2020) – A two-car crash took one life on an interstate in Glynn County on December 25. The crash occurred on Interstate 95. 

At approximately 4:35 a.m. on December 25, a family of four was traveling in a Hyundai Santa Fe south on Interstate 95. Their SUV was struck by a Chevrolet Impala, causing the Santa Fe to overturn. 

One passenger, a middle-aged man, was ejected from the vehicle. He lost his life at the scene of the collision. He was identified as Billy Synder, 45, of Virginia. 

The other occupants of the Santa Fe, a middle-aged woman identified as Snyder’s wife, Megan, her son, and her nephew, sustained injuries but are expected to make complete recoveries. They were transported from the scene via ambulance for treatment. 

The driver who struck them was identified as Brandon Mack, 33, who was detained by police for drunk driving and hit-and-run, as he fled the scene of the collision after it occurred. He was spotted by a witness walking down the side of I-95 after the accident took place. 

No further information has been released at this time.
