Peach County, GA – Ashley Harris, Rosalee Lawson Killed in Fatal Crash

Peach County, GA (August 12, 2020) – A fatal car accident took place on a roadway in Peach County this past Monday morning that took the lives of Ashley Harris, 33, and Rosalee Lawson, 51.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10 on GA-49 near Lily Creek Road when Harris was headed north on GA-49. According to state patrol, for unknown reasons, her car left the roadway and collided with a tree, killing both she and one of her passengers. 

An unidentified juvenile passenger was present in the vehicle at the time of the accident who was transported to a nearby medical center for treatment. Their current condition has not been disclosed at the present time. 

The area of GA-49 near Lily Creek Road was closed to local travelers in the area for several hours after the incident occurred on Monday in order to allow emergency responders to work safely at the accident site. It has since been reopened by local authorities. 

No further information is available at this time regarding the circumstances of the collision. 

A local authority investigation is currently underway.
