Germantown, MD (May 10, 2023) – A young child was left with severe injuries as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place on Tuesday evening in the Germantown area.
Just before 9:00 p.m. on May 9, the Montgomery County Police Department and the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that took place on Wisteria Drive.
Reports from authorities indicate that a child was struck by a vehicle on the roadway in the area near Seneca Valley High School.
Emergency officials responded to the scene and shut down Wisteria Drive near Great Seneca Highway.
The child sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash. EMS rendered aid to the victim before transporting them to a local hospital.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
