Glasgow, KY (October 22, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Sunday morning on Scottsville Road, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) responded to the scene in the 7000 block of Scottsville Road following reports of a serious crash.
Initial investigations revealed that a white 2000 GMC Sierra, driven by 47-year-old Charles Vittitoe of Scottsville, was traveling northbound on Scottsville Road. Vittitoe reportedly swerved to avoid a deer, which caused his vehicle to cross the center line and collide with a black 2009 GMC Sierra heading south, driven by Danny Webb. Webb was accompanied by a passenger, 71-year-old Sharon Webb of Cave City.
Danny Webb was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office. Sharon Webb was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, where her condition remains unknown. Charles Vittitoe was also taken to T.J. Samson Hospital before being transferred to Skyline Medical Center due to serious injuries.
