Grasmere, NY (April 5, 2023) – In the Grasmere neighborhood of Staten Island, authorities reported a motor vehicle accident that left at least one person hospitalized. The multi-vehicle crash took place on Tuesday morning, April 4th, at the intersection of Grasmere Avenue and Giles Place.
According to reports, at approximately 9:34 a.m., several cars were heavily damaged during a traffic collision that transpired for undetermined reasons. Either a nearby witness or someone involved in the crash called 911, and dispatchers sent numerous responders to the scene.
Emergency crews arrived to assist those involved, and at least one person was transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze for additional treatment. Authorities have not commented on the condition of the victim or whether any other injuries were suffered in the crash.
No further details are available at this time as the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
