Grays Harbor, WA (November 20, 2023) – A catastrophic wrong-way crash in Grays Harbor County last week claimed the life of Robert W. Mysliwiec, 76, and injured two others. The incident unfolded on State Route 105, south of Johns River.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Mysliwiec, an Aberdeen resident, was driving south in the northbound lanes of SR-105 at high speed. Concurrently, two northbound vehicles approached. Mysliwiec’s vehicle collided head-on with one vehicle, forcing the other to swerve into a ditch to evade the crash.
Both the 32-year-old Lacey woman and the 56-year-old Westport man driving the northbound vehicles sustained injuries. They received treatment at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Mysliwiec’s death following his transport to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Investigations into this tragic accident are ongoing to determine its cause.
