Greenwich Township, PA (September 18, 2023) – A crash led to a fiery scene on Interstate 78 late Saturday night.
Around 10:34 p.m., a tractor-trailer, driven by Enrique Gonzalez Guerra from El Centro, Calif., hit a guide rail after its tire burst. This resulted in a blaze at mile marker 37.
The vehicle was totaled. However, Guerra escaped without injuries.
He later faced motor vehicle charges.
Fire crews from Kempton and Weisenberg attended the incident.
The highway remained shut for about five hours due to the aftermath.
The investigation is still ongoing.
